Doobie May 24-25, 2025
As you enjoy a 3-day weekend in honor of Memorial Day, we are going to introduce you to a new artist named Doobie. His new album Give ‘Em Hell Until You Get To Heaven will be released May 30, 2025. He has had a big interest in music even before he entered the world. Doobie discussed the impact his mother had on him introducing him to music saying, “My mom said she put headphones on her stomach when she was pregnant with me and I used to kick when she’d play the music so maybe that could be where it started.”
JELLY ROLL INFLUENCE
Doobie got his start as an underground hip hop artist. Jelly Roll was one of his biggest supporters taking him on tour earlier in his career. As Doobie began to learn how to craft songs, he eventually wanted to mix the hip hop sound with the rock influence he was introduced to by his mom in his earlier years. This led to the full length album Give ‘Em Hell Until You Get To Heaven which features collaborations with rock artists Jonny Hawkins from Nothing More, Josey Scott formerly of Saliva and others. The leadoff single Worth A Shot highlights his songwriting with double entendre interpretations.
