Daughtry February 5-6, 2022
Daughtry’s 2022 tour kicks off February 9 with Tremonti. It will be nice to catch up with Chris Daughtry at his home to talk about some things close to him. First is the new album Dearly Beloved that was released September 17, 2021 and also features the big hits on the Rock 30 including World On Fire and Heavy Is The Crown. The latest single is Changes Are Coming, which according to Chris, completes a trilogy that came together unexpectedly.
Chris went into the studio focused on what he believed a Daughtry album should sound like instead of listening to the voices of what they thought he should be focused on sonically and lyrically. There was also time of reflection talking about some of the albums and artists that had influenced him for the past years. One thing we find out is the long admiration Chris has for Ed Kowalczyk from Live…and somehow their appearance is very similar also…which was completely unintentional. Take a look at the video below and you’ll get it.
Batman and Tarantino
Chris Daughtry loves Batman! Did you know he actually did a small role in the fan-made film “Batman: Dying Is Easy”? Also he has a huge collection of Batman memorabilia. That’s not the only thing that has graced Daughtry’s name on the big screen. On a chance meeting with Quentin Tarantino, who happens to be a huge Daughtry fan, Chris was told by the director himself that the fictional town of Daughtrey, TX was named after him…even though the spelling was a little different.
