Mike Protich formerly of Red Sun Rising and currently with The Violent has a lot of options in 2025. LA Lloyd watched an Instagram video that Mike put on his Instagram where he talked about different things he could do this year. One is celebrating the milestone of Red Sun Rising’s debut album Polyester Zeal which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025. Also, Mike’s current band The Violent has been working on new music in Nashville. Fans could hear some new music in the upcoming weeks. And finally, he has considered doing some solo shows highlighting the body of work he has been involved with in the different incarnations of his career.

When Red Sun Rising decided to go on a permanent hiatus, Mike Protich and his management team used an unusual strategy to premier his new band The Violent to fans. They decided to release the song Fly On The Wall anonymously. They wanted fans to guess who the vocalist was on this new track. Many got it correct and many thought it was someone different. LA Lloyd will ask Mike to explain this strategy and looking back if it was a good idea.
