Note for this week’s show: The interview with Bobby Amaru, Saliva vocalist was recorded March 7, 2023. On March 22, we received the news that Saliva guitarist Wayne Swinny unexpectedly passed away. LA Lloyd and the team at the Rock 30 sends condolences to Wayne’s family and all the Saliva fans who are grieving during this sad time.
Bobby Amaru had some big shoes to fill when he got the role of lead vocalist for Saliva in 2011. Josey Scott, original vocalist decided to exit the band to pursue a solo career. Back in 2014, LA Lloyd had a chance to interview Bobby for the first time at SXSW in Austin, TX. He is back to co-host the Rock 30 to discuss the new single High On Me and the upcoming plans for the next album release.
Every Twenty Years
Saliva released the EP Every Twenty Years May 7, 2021 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their album Every Six Seconds. Bobby put his own vocal spins on some of the band’s classics like Your Disease, Click Click Boom and more.
