HARDY January 14-15, 2023

It’s been a long time since LA Lloyd said, “this artist is going to change the face of current ROCK.”  In fact it was just over 30 years ago after he first played a song called “Smells Like Teen Spirit” from Nirvana.  There’s no denying that Rock has been pushed to the underground since the early 2000s.  Even though some great music and artists have emerged in the past 20 years, there really hasn’t been a “scene” created since Grunge emerged in the early 90s.  So who is this artist Lloyd believes is leading the pack?  His name is HARDY!

Throughout the history of Rock n Roll, there’s always been someone or some song to shake up everything.  Elvis in the 50s, Beatles and Stones in the 60s, Zeppelin, Floyd and Aerosmith in the 70s, Guns N Roses and Metallica in the 80s, Nirvana in the 90s and then…lots of bands in the 00’s and 10s, but no one with the exception of Foo Fighters led the way.  HARDY made a name for himself as songwriter for artists like Blake Shelton and Florida Georgia Line receiving nominations for several awards.  But as he explains to LA Lloyd, there was a song that was played by his parents that changed everything for him at a young age.  That song was Alive by Pearl Jam and gave him a calling to eventually be a Rock performer.

JACK is the first rock single to be released from HARDY’s album the mockingbird & THE CROW coming out January 20.  LA Lloyd wanted to have him co-host the Rock 30 prior to the release of the album which features Country songs and Rock songs on the same album which is a ballsy move but completely backed by his label Big Loud Rock.

There is no denying that a great song, no matter the genre, has a story that the listener immediately relates to.  One thing you’ll hear throughout the Rock 30 is how HARDY crafts his song with co-writers through storytelling.  Check out the video for wait in the truck to get the point.
