Avatar has a new song that does not sound like any other song on the Rock 30. Johannes Eckerström, vocalist, returns for his third appearance to co-host the Rock 30. He will discuss how their new song Captain Goat literally wrote itself. He compares it to capturing “lightning in a bottle.”
Touring With Maiden
Avatar will be doing several dates through the Summer of 2025 touring with Iron Maiden. It’s not their first rodeo with them as they did some dates in 2025 as well. The irony of Avatar touring with them is from a story told by Johannes. When he was 16, he and his friends took a train to Stockholm spent the night in a hostel and saw Iron Maiden live at Stockholm stadium. a portion of these friends eventually became what is now the current incarnation of the band. When asked if he could go back in a time machine and ask these kids would they believe one day they would be opening for Maiden, his answer is priceless and he will share it with LA Lloyd.
